What started as a simple attempt to recreate my mother’s legendary Oat Flake Cookies turned into a full-blown detective story involving a 120-year-old handwritten cookbook, discontinued cereals, vintage advertisements, family interviews, and more baking experiments than I care to admit. Along the way, I discovered that preserving a family recipe is about much more than ingredients—it’s about preserving memories.

Each Recipe Detective Case File documents another culinary mystery. You’ll follow the clues, see the failed experiments, celebrate the breakthroughs, and maybe even be inspired to solve a few mysteries hiding in your own family’s recipe box.
