About us
What We Do
Bytes, Bread, and Barbecue is where code meets carbs and charcoal. It’s the place to geek out over programming, perfect your dough game, and master the art of smoke-ring magic—all without setting your keyboard on fire (usually).

Our work process
One Loaf, Line, and Low & Slow at a Time
Whether it’s writing clean code, crafting the perfect sourdough, or smoking ribs to perfection, this one-man operation blends precision, patience, and a pinch of curiosity. Each project—digital or delicious—follows a process rooted in experience, experimentation, and a love of learning.
About us
Meet Ross!
After 35+ years in the emergency room patching people up, I decided it was time to trade trauma for tech. While still working full-time in emergency medicine, I went back to college in 2000 and earned a master’s degree in information systems—because sleep is optional, right?
Over the years, I wrote countless macros and custom tools for electronic medical record systems, including Epic, making life a little easier for fellow physicians (and sometimes even the IT department).
Now retired, I spend my time writing Java and JavaScript apps, creating YouTube videos, baking bread that occasionally listens to reason, and barbecuing like it’s a full-contact sport. Bytes, Bread, and Barbecue is where I mix the digital with the delicious—and yes, the keyboard has seen smoke.
